I can't believe I started this thing in May, but yet have even entered a 2nd post.
Sometimes I'm at a loss for words, I guess.
So I just donated 5 bucks to the UFC's fight for the troops cause. Supporting the troops doesn't have to mean supporting the conflicts. I think it was Chomsky who said that there is nothing wrong with just wanting nobody to get hurt. That sounds supportive to me. I guess the money goes to the Intrepid Brain Trauma foundation, for soldiers who suffer from brain injuries while answering the call. It's pretty tragic.
whether or not the cause is right or wrong, I think another real tragedy is that there even has to be fundraisers for injured soldiers. You'd think that the institutions that govern this country would take responsibility for them. The men and women who are willing to lay it all down deserve that from our government. I don't mind giving up 5 bucks for them once in a while, though.
Hopefully the UFC will keep on putting on these free fight nights!

I imagine this is how they all start
So I deleted my myspace page because it stopped working for some reason. Probably got hacked. I just now got into reading people's blogs, so I decided I'd start one just so I'd have a "presence" on thee 'ol IN-TER-NET. Yeah, so what. I'm a late bloomer. I have no idea what kind of random community would come across this little thing I'm typing out, but maybe one day it'll make me rich or famous or maybe both. Ha.
I apologize for my not-so-perfect grammar ahead of time, in case anyone stumbles across this. The plan is that by practicing writing, I will get better. I accept pointers and blood sacrifices. Well, maybe not. How about constructive and kind criticism. Guess what. I'm sensitive, too. I hope to live out my Hemingway dream one day, by living in a cabin in the woods with a typewriter, er, word processor, I mean laptop, and make up stories while my dogs fight over anything. My plan is for a happier ending than Ernest's, though.
So, I guess this is how they all start. People say to themselves "I should start a blog", so they start one. Next, they say "What should I write?". That's where I am now. What do you say? Ya gotta write somethin', kid. I imagine a lot of these things start out something like "So, I decided I'd start a blog..."
